Hill Marketing, established in 2000, is a full service advertising agency located in Rockford, Illinois. We offer clients creative services, media buying, development of marketing strategies, social media services and public relations consulting. We direct the day-to-day activities related to advertising and public relations projects, and work with clients to plan short-term and long-term strategies. Monica graduated in 1992 from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising. Upon graduation, she worked as an advertising sales representative for Midwest Family Broadcast Group before taking a sales management position at Cumulus radio. Driven by a desire to help customers achieve their marketing and growth goals in a more hands-on fashion, Monica started her own advertising agency in 2000. Since that time, she has enjoyed this dynamic industry which allows the balance of both creativity, in developing advertising campaigns, along with the more analytical side of media planning, placement and negotiation. Work isn’t work when you love what you do!
Ted is a graduate of communications from Southern Illinois University. Ted has over 30 years in marketing and media buying, sales and management experience in the Rockford area. He has been an account manager at Hills Marketing since 2009. Prior to that, he served in sales and management at WTVO-TV, Fox 39 and WROK-WZOK radio. Ted has a reputation for integrity and customer service and with his depth of knowledge and contacts, relentlessly pursues and achieves improvement of his clients’ positions in the marketplace.
Celeste was an important part of our team, and she will always have a very special place in the hearts of those at Hills Marketing. Celeste attended U-W Whitewater as a Business/English major. She worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Plant Manager at General Electric. Then was a valuable team member at the State’s Attorney’s Office of Boone County in Illinois where she worked for 21 years as an Administrative Assistant and Child Support Specialist. Upon retirement, took on the role of Accounting & Billing Coordinating at Hills Marketing.
Lisa is an experienced advertising executive with over 25 years of helping people and businesses succeed. Lisa earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Judson University and began a career in Social Work. She later transitioned into marketing and advertising working as an Account Executive for local radio groups, television groups, and print publications before becoming the Director of Sales at Maverick Media for 7 years. In 2013, she started her own advertising agency with a specialty in social media marketing. Lisa joined the Hills Marketing team in 2015 further expanding her ability to match her vast talents in advertising and social media marketing to a larger base of clients.
Kelly is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, holding a Master of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She has been working with the area business community since 2004, when she joined the Belvidere-Boone County economic development organization. In this role, she played a pivotal part in growing, retaining, and attracting business development in the Northern Illinois area, collaborating closely with community and business leaders.
Her journey in advertising and marketing began with the Rockford’s NBC affiliate, WREX , where she started as an Account Executive in July 2014. Her skills and dedication led her to the role of Local Sales Manager in April 2020. Kelly joined the Hills Marketing team in August of 2024 and she is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to help business thrive in the community.
